J.A.B. To Perform at Manhattan College’s Black History Month Luncheon Feb. 18

On
Tuesday, Feb. 18, Manhattan College welcomes J.A.B. (Just Another Band)
to campus in celebration of Black History Month. The local community is
invited to attend the luncheon and performance, which is sponsored by
the College’s Diversity Committee and Student Activities.


The energetic New York-based J.A.B. performs a variety of music,
including classic R&B, funk, Motown and jazz. Three of the five band
members are brothers with Roy Bennett on bass and lead vocals, Kevin
Bennett on guitar and vocals, and Latif Bennett on the drums. In
addition, Ettienne Lytle plays the keys and does vocals, and Geoff
Mattoon is on the saxophone and wind controller.


The talented members of J.A.B. have played alongside the likes of
Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Isaac Hayes, Lionel Hampton,
Chuck Jackson, Freddie Jackson, Nancy Wilson, Dan Aykroyd, The
Delfonics, Buddy Miles, The Chantels and Cuba Gooding, Sr.
