Fort Hill Players presents, Ken Ludwig's LEND ME A TENOR

Madness, Mix-ups and Mayhem - Just Another Night at the Opera!

It’s 1934, and Tito Merelli, world famous, fiery-tempered, Italian superstar arrives to save the Cleveland Grand Opera by singing Otello at their one night, Fundraising Gala.  Late and exhausted, he washes down tranquilizers with a glass of wine, passes out, and can’t be revived.  In a frantic attempt to salvage the evening the Manager goads his meek, singer-wannabe assistant into taking his place.  Chaos ensues when Morelli comes to and gets into his second costume ready to perform.  Now two Otellos are running around in costume and two women are running around chasing the tenor they think is Il Stupendo.  “Non- stop laughter” – Variety,  Uproariously Hysterical” – USA Today.  Directed by Chris Arena, Starring - P. J. Glazer, Laurel Lettieri, James Lugo, Jim Petrillo, Gary Simon, Marci Stearns, Benna Strober, Nadia Winter.  May 2,3,9,10 -  8 pm.  May 3  -  2 pm. $18, $15 Seniors & HS Students.
