Westchester residents don’t have to travel far to see a first-rate, professional production of the enchanting holiday favorite, The Nutcracker. Westchester Ballet Company—an enduring regional dance troupe founded in 1950—will once again take to the stage atWestchester County Center in White Plains to perform this magical tale of a young girl’s journey through a sparkling, snow-covered forest into the Land of Sweets. Featuring Tchaikovsky's full suite of music, lavish costumes and scenery, thrilling stage effects, and a professionally trained cast and crew, the show rivals the best productions in the New York metropolitan area. It’s a time-honored treat and sure to be a hit with your family this holiday season.

As in the past, tickets for WBC's The Nutcracker are offered at affordable rates to ensure that all Westchester-area residents—of every age—can attend a performance of this perennial classic, sure to become a family holiday tradition for years to come. 2012 performances will take place on Friday, December 14, 10 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 16, 2 p.m.

Under the direction of Beth Fritz-Logrea and Jean Logrea, WBC's The Nutcracker features classic choreography, 90+ professionally trained student dancers from communities throughout Westchester and neighboring counties, and several professional guest soloists who hail from some of the world's leading ballet companies in New York and across the country.

Advance ticket prices are $20 for adults, $14 for children (ages 10 and under) and seniors (ages 60-plus); all tickets are $25 on the day of the performance.
