“Touring Tuesdays” offer a new way to invite prospective parents into schools for an opportunity to meet with principals, faculty, other parents and students to learn firsthand what Catholic schools have to offer in programs from Pre-K 3 through Grade 8.

The fall 2013 dates were selected to assist families seeking high quality Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4 and free Universal Pre-K programs, since those families traditionally enroll earlier in the school year. The Archdiocese of New York is one of the largest providers of early childhood education programs, and currently serves more than 7,500 children in these programs.

At many schools, designated Parent Ambassadors and "madrinas,” who have children enrolled in the individual schools, will be on site to answer questions and offer their personal perspectives.

"Touring Tuesdays" provide a unique focus for our enrollment initiatives in all regions of the archdiocese and are an excellent way for parents to experience our schools before they make important educational choices for their children," said Dr. Timothy J. McNiff, Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of New York. "These strategically scheduled “Touring Tuesdays” allow us to highlight the unique benefits and individual character of the regional elementary schools across the Archdiocese of New York.”
