Friends of the Eastchester Public Library (EPL) willhost the EPL Library Fair in the library parking lot. All proceeds will benefit a major renovation that will provide a more lively and modern children's room at EPL. New carpeting and a 3D book-themed circulation area populated by children's book characters such as Greg from the Wimpy Kid series and Winnie the Pooh will be installed this fall.
The Library Fair will celebrate EPL's vibrant role in the lives of the children of our community. This family event will include crafts, games, food, Lego workshops, and raffles. The day will also include activities for pets.
The Library Fair will include a library mascot competition with a fantastic first prize, a pet poetry contest and a pet look-a-like competition. If one's pet resembles Pete the Cat, or Harry the Dirty Dog, or any other dog or cat in a library book, they can submit a picture of themselves with their pet and the book to win a prize.
