Drop-in Spring Break Art Program at Katonah Museum of Art

April 15 – 18, 10am – 3pm

Looking for something to do when the kids have no school? Get inspired by Jasper Johns and Rosemary Wells at the Katonah Museum of Art with fun art activities each day. Create fruit and vegetable prints, hand-made books, unique mono-prints, and foam-plate prints. For children ages 3 and up. Children under age 6 participate with an adult; 7 and older, adults must remain at the Museum.

Tuesday, April 15: Vegetable and Fruit Printing - Ever notice how fruits and vegetable can have the most amazing shapes? Try adding ink and printing them to make interesting images, patterns, and designs.

Wednesday, April 16: Hand-Made Books – Decorate and illustrate your own hand-sewn books inspired by the art of Rosemary Wells.

Thursday, April 17: Painted Mono-Prints – Make prints using a real etching press in action as we create beautiful, painterly mono-prints.

Friday, April 18: Printed Foam – Use foam shapes, rubber pieces, and Styrofoam plates to create unique pictures and designs, then use rollers and ink to print multiple images.

Participating children: $5 members, $8 non-members.  Adults: Regular museum admission.
