As part of National Catholic Sisters Week, Manhattan College will present a film screening of Band of Sisters on Wednesday, March 12
at 7 p.m. The much-publicized documentary chronicles U.S. nuns who
became engaged in important social movements in the wake of the Second
Vatican Council and brought the church into the modern world.
Manhattan College’s Campus Ministry and Social Action and the
Visitation Church Social Action Committee are co-sponsoring the event.

The screening of Band of Sisters will begin at 7 p.m. and
doors will open at 6:30 p.m. in the Scala Academy Room in Leo Hall, Room
215. Guests are welcome to park in the parking lot alongside Leo Hall (3825 Corlear Avenue and W. 240th).
