UPDATE 8:50a.m.: An accident on the Cross County Parkway westbound is causing all traffic to slow down at the Saw Mill River Parkway. Traffic has slowed from Midland Avenue to Yonkers Avenue.
Large snow flakes are coming down across Tuckahoe, Bronxville and Eastchester, but the white stuff isn't sticking to the ground. Roads are wet, but there is no slush to deal with as drivers wrap up their morning commute.
Today we're playing a game of "weather roulette," with temperatures that will be near the freezing mark. For today, forecasters are predicting less than an inch of snow for the Tuckahoe-Eastchester-Bronxville area. Tonight, the temperature will dip down to 31º. The below freezing temperature could mean 2-4 inches of snow on the ground when we wake up Friday.
The snow won't necessarily end overnight. We could get a little bitter of snow Friday before lunch time.
