Stong Winds Hit Tuckahoe, Eastchester & Bronxville

There is a wind advisory in effect until 6 p.m.

Forecasters are warning people in our area about the strong, gusty winds. Right now, there is a wind advisory in effect until 6 p.m. The gusts have the potential to bring down entire trees, tree limbs and power lines. So far, there are only four homes in the Tuckahoe-Eastchester-Bronxville area without power right now.

Stop lights strung across poles can be seen swaying in the wind this morning, as people hitting the roads wait for the traffic signals to change. And just when it gets quiet outside this morning, large gusts of wind are breaking out, causing street signs to rock back and fourth.
