Our Patch is Headed to 1K Facebook "Likes"

Residents in Bronxville-Eastchester really looked to Patch during Hurricane Sandy for vital local information and were almost to our goal of 1K Facebook "Likes".

 

Last month, Bronxville-Eastchester Patch set a goal to get to 1K Facebook "Likes" and as we approach 800, we know we can make it to 1K by the end of 2012 with your help.

Patch readers have a multitude of ways to stay connected to their community, through local bloggers, announcements, business listings and of course, breaking news alerts that can be sent right to your inbox and smartphone.

When many residents lost power this week due to Hurricane Sandy, time and time again they were able to still know what was happening in Bronxville, Eastchester or Tuckahoe because of these breaking news alerts and facebook updates.

"You are doing a wonderful job helping us all feel connected and informed, thank you," stated Ellie Rice who recently "liked" us on facebook and relied on patch for updates on facebook throughout the storm.
