Here's a look at some recent police incidents in Eastchester during the last week.
May 30
Eastchester police arrested Bronx resident Frank A. Ruiz, 32, on May 30, at the Leewood Getty station on White Plains Road after he and his wife got into an altercation there. The woman called 911 and told police she was taken in the car and being held against her will by Ruiz. Police were dispatched and arrested Ruiz, who was charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment, an E felony, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. Ruiz was arraigned and remanded to Westchester County jail.
June 2
Police arrested a 53-year-old Eastchester man for violating an order of protection preventing him from having any contact with his mother. Police said the man went to his mother’s home on Garth Road and asked her for money. His mother, 82, gave him $30. Police said the man then grabbed more money from her purse and left. Police caught up with him, and he was arrested and charged with criminal contempt.
June 6
Tamara Teitelbaum, 33, from the Bronx, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after she was stopped for speeding on California Road in Eastchester. During the stop, police found she was driving with a suspended license.
