About Town: Bronxville Memorial Day Parade

Locals turn out to honor veterans and the fallen

A sunny Memorial Day in Bronxville brought out local dignitaries, veterans, and residents to remember the men and women who have fought and died for our country.

The parade started on the West Side of Pondfield Road, moved under the tracks, emerging to a large crowd lining the streets of the Village’s main thoroughfare.

Police, Fire Department, EMT's, and community organizations joined Mayor Mary Marvin and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino as the procession moved south, ending at The Bronxville School, where wreaths were laid by local Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to honor those who went to war and did not return.

If you missed the parade and ceremony, we hope you enjoy the slide show and be sure and add your own shots of the parade to our album!
