La Panetière Celebrates Its 28th Anniversary With Prix-Fixe Dinner
Jacques Loupiac's La Panetière in Rye is planning to serve a prix-fixe dinner with optional wine pairing from August 6 through August 17, 2013 in honor of the French restaurant's 28th anniversary. The regular menu will also be available.
Atlantic halibut and prime rib eye are offered as entree choices.
The menu follows:
Appetizer:
- Chilled sweet pea and mint veloute
- Heirloom tomato salad, red and yellow watermelon, ricotta salata, lemon olive oil
- Grilled sea scallops and jumbo shrimp, Endive and asparagus salad, mustard Yuzu vinaigrette
- Appetizer wine: 2011 Macon Vilages Jadot
Atlantic halibut. With a pesto crust, vegetable minestrone, Manila clams
- Wine: 2012 Clairette Côtes du Rhone “Les Abeilles” JL Colombo, Rhone
- Wine: 2011 Syrah Domaine La Voute du Verdus, Languedoc
- Chilled lime cappuccino
- Summer Berries Prelude. Layer of Financier (almond) cake, summer berries crème brulee, passion fruit sorbet
- Dessert wine: 2013 Guignolet – cherry wine
Mouthful of sweet savories
The cost is $82 per person without wine or $133 with wine pairing; tax, gratuity and coffee or tea are additional. Dinner is served from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Loupiac opened the restaurant in 1985.
