André Dubus III, Author of "House of Sand and Fog," Will Discuss His Latest Work "Dirty Love" on Monday

Spoken Interludes will conclude its spring/summer 2014 program of dinner with book-readings on Monday, June 9 at RiverView in Hastings-on-Hudson. The admission cost of $25 for the program includes a buffet dinner, tax and tip. Parking is free.

Three invited guests including André Dubus III will be introduced by DeLauné Michel, founder of Spoken Interludes (the program was started in 1996). 

Dubus, the author of House of Sand and Fog, Townie and The Garden of Last Days will describe and read from his newest book Dirty Love. The novel revolves around the needs and weaknesses of people seeking gratification in food, sex, work and love.

Alexi Zentner will read from his new novel Lobster Kings and Marcie Cuff will read from her debut book This Book Was a Tree: Ideas, Adventures, and Inspiration for Discovering the Natural World.

The evening’s activities are preceded by a multi-dish, buffet Indian dinner catered by chef Navjot Arora of the restaurant Chutney Masala (in Irvington).
