Earth hour was founded by the World Wildlife Fund and aims to educate the masses on a variety of environmental issues. The event began in Australia in 2007 and has since spread all around the world. The concept is simple, we all turn our lights off for one set hour on March 29, 2014 from 8:30pm - 9:30 PM.
