Bronx attorney Carol L. Schlitt has been featured in The New York Times Magazine as one of the top women lawyers in New York State, as recognized by Super Lawyers magazine in its 2014 New York Metro Super Lawyers list.

The recognition was included in the New York Times Magazine’s March 23, 2014 issue and was based on Carol Schlitt’s inclusion in Super Lawyers as one of the highest-ranked women lawyers practicing in the New York Metro area.  Selections for the Super Lawyers list nomination, which is only bestowed on five percent of lawyers in New York, are made each year by a research team at Super Lawyers; a service of the Thomson Reuters, Legal division and reached through a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a good-standing and disciplinary check and peer review of candidates by practice area.

Carol L. Schlitt was named to the Super Lawyers list in 2011, 2012 and 2013 for achievements in personal injury law.  She is a past winner of the New York City Municipal Attorney of the Year and has her cases listed among the Top Ten Verdicts in New York, including two in 2013: the highest intentional tort verdict and one of the highest verdicts for a pedestrian struck by a car.  . A graduate of the College of Holy Cross and St. John’s University, began her career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York. Ms. Schlitt is the founding partner of the Schlitt Law Firm.
