An email came in earlier this week inquiring about the beautiful and nostalgic four-sided clock that sits at the corner of Kraft Ave. and Depot Plaza, adjacent to the People's United Bank.
For some time now, the clock has not been functional and believe it or not, actually displays four different incorrect times on all four sides of the clock, further confusing passersby or commuters who are patiently waiting for their trains to arrive.
After speaking with officials in Bronxville, it seems as though no plans are in place yet to either refurbish the clock, or even replace it with a functional one. The matter however has been discussed and may eventually be brought to the Board of Trustees for a proposal.
The inner-workings of the clock are housed inside of the People's United Bank, who are the official owners of the clock, but after nearly a year, requests are being made by residents of Bronxville that the bank make an effort to refurbish the broken clock.
Attempts were made by Patch to contact People's United but were unsuccessful, however Patch wants to know what you think? Should the village be more assertive in their efforts to replace or repair the clock or should the bank take full responsibility and restore the popular four-sided clock?
Be sure and leave your comments below and come back this same time next week for "What's Up With That?"
