With its first successful year complete, Taiim Cellar - Scarsdale’s popular Middle Eastern and Mediterranean wine bar - is not resting on its laurels.
The restaurant, located at 11 Boniface Circle, has created a new menu and added a sumptuous $25-per-person Sunday Brunch that includes freshly baked pastries, a Mimosa or Bloody Mary, and a choice of a quiche, salad or egg dish.
Everything is freshly made, with a nod to local and organic ingredients whenever possible, at Taiim Cellar, especially its hummus, which was singled out as being a “revelation” in a May, 2013, review in The New York Times.
The new menu, which was honed by the restaurant’s new Argentinian chef (who has extensive experience with Lebanese and Israeli cuisine), includes freshly made soups daily and several new meat and salad dishes. The lamb, for example, is roasted and salted the day before it is served to ensure its taste, according to co-owner Erion Hasko.
Taiim Cellar also boasts fine wines from Italy, France, Chile, Israel, New Zealand, Argentina and California, among other locales.
In addition to the new menu and brunch, the restaurant has made it’s interior more lush and comfortable with the help of Scarsdale designer Gregory Allan Cramer & Company, Inc.
“Taiim Cellar has been transformed into whole new dining experience,” said Hasko.
