Westchester Town on 'Law and Order SVU'

An episode of the popular NBC series was shot in Westchester in April.

If NBC’s “Law and Order, SVU” looked familiar this month, that is because part of the May 1 episode was filmed in Rye in early April.

Kelli Giddish, Danny Pino, 20 background actors and a crew of 60 were downtown and at the Coveleigh club for the filming. They also filmed at Rye’s Al Dente and Great Stuff.

The episode, titled “Traumatic Wounds,” aired at 9 p.m. on NBC on Wednesday, May 1.  You can watch the full episode here. A scene shot in Rye's downtown first shows up at the 20:49 mark. Rye was used in scenes meant to take place in New Canaan, Ct.

Rye is often used as a filming location for television shows and movies. This fall, Kevin Bacon's FOX drama "The Following" and NBC'swere filmed downtown.
