With the approach of Halloween, many bakeries in the village are putting some tricks in their treats.

 

Halloween is just over one week away, many residents can find multiple options in bakeries across Bronxville that are serving up Halloween treats in the shape of ghosts and goblins and in the spooky colors of orange and black.

Whether you prefer Chester Heights Pastry Shop, Elite Sweets, or Topps Bakery, all of the Halloween sweets needs can be met.

"This time of year is always fun for us and we get to be creative with putting Halloween markings on many of our pastries," said Heath Lachman, owner of Topps Bakery on Pondfield Rd.

A popular item seemed to be the annual Black and Orange cookies that can be found this time of year in bakeries across New York.

Amanda Wiessman, an 8 year-old who lives in Larchmont gazed longingly at all of the Halloween treats at the bakery and then proclaimed, "it's so amazing, they just never run out of stuff here!"
