Pookie & Sebastian Eyes February Opening for First Westchester Store

Westchester County residents will have to wait a few more weeks before the mid-priced clothing boutique Pookie & Sebastian opens its doors on East Parkway in Scarsdale.

Located at 34 East Parkway, the storefront has been covered up for a few weeks while the space is being renovated, but according to owner Kevin Matuszak, the shop plans to open in the first week of February.

“We really fell in love with Scarsdale when we looked around for new locations,” said Matuszak, adding that the small chain of stores is looking to continue its expansion into the suburbs of New York and Long Island. “Plus, a lot of our client base has migrated out to the area.”

Known for its stylish, trendy and wearable women’s clothing, the store is not too upscale but not down-market either. “We offer beautiful clothing at an accessible price point,” said Matuszak.

The boutique, which first opened 18 years ago, currently has four New York City locations, one store on Long Island and one pop-up spot in Boca Raton, Fla.
