New, Unique Movie Theater Opening Monday

People in Tuckahoe, Eastchester and Bronxville are getting excited about the new Alamo Drafhouse Cinema coming to our area. At the Alamo you can dine, have a beer, and watch a movie on the big screen. The theater's owners say their doors will officially open August 5. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:30pm with Alamo Drafthouse CEO and Founder Tim League. Joining League will be Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano.

“After many months, we couldn’t be prouder to be opening up our first New York theater in Yonkers,” says Alamo founder Tim League.  “I’m moving my family up for the opening, and I hope to get to know as many of our new neighbors as possible.”

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is moving into the former United Artist movie theater at 2548 Central Avenue in Yonkers. When it's finally open, you will be able to order lunch or dinner from a comfortable leather seat while watching your movie.
