The motto for the English Premier League soccer team is "You'll never walk alone," and for Bronxville's soccer players a new store might say the same thing to their customers.
Soccer and Rugby Imports, which boasts four stores in Connecticut, is planning to open its first New York store in downtown Bronxville in the near future.
The sporting goods retailer is moving into space at 40 Pondfield Road, which was formerly occupied by the bridal Botticelli. Botticelli has moved a couple of doors down to 46 Pondfield.
Soccer and Rugby Imports' other stores are located in Greenwich, Ridgefield, Southport and Madison. The store sells cleats, uniforms, soccer and rugby balls and equipment and other items related to the two sports.
Founded in 1993 in Westport, the chain outgrew that first location and moved to Southport in 2004. Soon after that move, it began adding more stores.
