New Movie Theater-Restaurant-Bar Comes to Bronxville Area

People in Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe are getting excited about the new Alamo Drafhouse Cinema coming to our area. At the Alamo you can dine, have a beer, and watch a movie on the big screen.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is moving into the former United Artist movie theater at 2548 Central Avenue in Yonkers. When it's finally open, you will be able to order lunch or dinner from a comfortable leather seat while watching your movie.

"We got into the business because we love movies and we were a little bit frustrated with our options, as to what the movie theater experience was all about," said Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Founder Tim League.

There are six theaters in the complex and more than 660 seats. The Alamo will show first-run films, classics, independents and documentaries. Ticket prices will be $9 for kids and $12 for adults. Also, you won't have to watch ads before the movie at the Alamo.

The new Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is set to open this summer.
