Last week's storm did not spare any communities around Westchester as all municipalities saw widespread disruptions in power and massive damage from Hurricane Sandy's strong winds.
In Bronxville, Chantilly Patisserie, the popular bakery that specializes in the production of gourmet baked goods including artisan breads, pastries, macaroons and custom cakes, is holding a week long local materials drive to help those in need and will be collecting items through Sunday Nov. 11.
Some of the items they are looking to collect are food items such as peanut butter/jelly, coffee, tea and tomato sauce. Be sure that whatever food items you drop off are non-perishable items.
Other items include toiletries, bedding and even things like paper towels, pet food and garbage bags.
Chantilly is located at 135 Parkway Rd. in Bronxville and for a full list of items that can be dropped off to their Parkway Rd. location, click here.
