While we welcome the month of May, we begin it on a somber note. Alfredo Cruz, our longtime member and owner of , passed away last week. We mourn his loss and send our condolences to his wife, Lee. Lee and Alfredo have been in business in Bronxville for almost 30 years and have many friends here. Alfredo was a larger-than-life personality and we will miss him.

The evening is a discussion of the book, “Daniel Patrick Moynihan: A Portrait in Letters of an American Visionary,” by the author and former Bronxville resident, Steven R. Weisman. Weisman will sign copies of his book. Michael Elliott, deputy managing editor of Time magazine, is our host for the evening. Two weeks later, on Thursday, May 19, relax over a glass of wine and join in a conversation with Anne Kreamer, author of “It’s Always Personal: Emotion in the New Workplace."
