Bronxville's Park 143 Bistro Celebrates Two-Year Milestone

In two years, Bronxville's Park 143 Bistro has become a popular destination lunch, dinner and weekend brunch patrons among a sea of competing eateries.

“The food speaks for itself…our atmosphere, warm and welcoming staff and our hospitality has brought in a consistent group of patrons who have found a great place for their dining and entertainment needs” said owner Wayne Chessler in a statement.

The restaurant is commemorating its two year anniversary beginning on Monday, Jan. 20 - and continuing through Saturday, Jan. 25 - with complimentary champagne for customers visiting for dinner.

The hotspot's distinct Chef’s Table was named in Best of Westchester’s 2012 Food and Dining Issue and a favorite date night restaurant. In 2013, Executive Chef Jason Holmberg made a name for himself for his specialty wine pairing dinners held monthly and Park 143 Bistro once again was named in Best of Westchester’s 2013 Food and Dining Issue for its off the menu dinners.

“We want to be innovative and different in everything we do,” said Holmberg.

The menu has expanded since opening and in addition to its many hand-crafted small plates, eight new entrees have been added. Shrimp and grits with smoked cheddar and jalapeño continues to be a popular favorite, according to the restaurant, as well as its melt-in-your-mouth braised pork shank paired with white beans and cauliflower in a veal and mustard jus. Holmberg is not resting on his laurels and is working hard create a new menu to be unveiled sometime in 2014.

Park 143 Bistro offers Happy Hour every Monday through Friday from 4:00pm -7:00pm with a special menu of drinks and small bites for $5.  In addition, “Live Music at The Park” continues to showcase different musical guests who play a wide genre of music including rock, soul, jazz, R&B, pop and blues on various Friday evenings beginning at 9pm.
