Happy new year everyone! The year is already looking bright, based on the indication from the holidays that local shopping is being increasingly embraced! Thank you to all of you who are living the mantra, “Be loyal—shop local.”
New Year’s Resolutions
Ok, now that the holidays are safely behind us, it’s time to hunker down and get serious about our new year’s resolutions. For many of us, high on the list is getting in better shape and losing those pounds gained over the holidays. Fortunately, we’ve got a lot of resources in our vicinity to help! Here’s a brief overview of some of the options:
Find it impossible to get inspired on your own? Try one of Bronxville Fitness Club’s Group Fitness Classes. It’s hard to pass up a class called, “The WOOH WHOO Workout,” but additional options include BFC Cardio, Circuit Training, Complete Conditioning, Kick It Up Cardio, Power Pump, Burn It Out, Pilates Mat, Yoga, Yogalates, Spin, Core and Strength, and the signature BFC Xtreme Workout. The Bronxville Adult School is offering a variety of fitness classes, including Pilates, Core Conditioning, Interval Training, Zumba, and “Dude Yoga.” The schedule includes both day and evening options. Classes begin the week of January 7.

Ballet Arts on Fifth Ave in Pelham offers a variety of adult dance classes to satisfy your fitness regime, including ballet, tap, ballroom, “Latin Jam,” and even belly dancing. Additionally, classes are offered in Zumba, Pilates, and boot camp.
Stephanie Filardi of Bronxville Wellness Sanctuary will be teaching an open-level Kripalu Yoga class through the Bronxville Adult School starting Tuesday, January 8 at 9:30 am. The course is designed to enrich the body, mind, and spirit through poses and meditation. Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate made history last week with the sale of the highest sale in Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate history, as well as the highest single residential sale ever recorded in Westchester County! The Bedford Corners property, Devonshire, sold for $21 million.
