Join the Tuckahoe-Eastchester Girl Scouts

The Scouts are looking for new recruits as a new year approaches in hopes that perhaps your daughter may be interested in different learning experiences and making new friends.

The following message comes from Judy Fix and the Tuckahoe/Eastchester Girl Scouts

Join Girl Scouts!

Tuckahoe/Eastchester Girl Scouts have fun, make friends, discover new places & acquire valuable personal skills.

Our members enjoy a variety of fun, exciting and enriching activities. These events are designed to provide safe, wholesome and fun opportunities for growth through decision-making, participation and cooperation.

By meeting in small groups, with caring and nurturing adult leaders, girls are provided the environment and attention they need to learn and develop the skills and self-esteem they need for success in the real world.

Events are not only on a troop level, but community (Tuck/East troops) as well.  Last year the girls went ice-skating, bowling and participated in many badge advancement activities at the Girl Scout cabin.

Who can be a Girl Scout?

You can! Like to have fun? Want to make new friends? The Tuckahoe/Eastchester Girl Scouts welcome all girls in grades K-5 at , , , and schools who accept the codes of character and conduct of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.  Become a Daisy, Brownie or Junior!

How much does it cost?

Less than a pizza! Annual membership dues are only $12. Each troop of girls sets their own dues and additional activity fees are usually inexpensive.

How do I register?

Come to the Tuckahoe/Eastchester Girl Scout Cabin, 119 Highland Avenue, Eastchester, on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Directions:  White Plains Rd. South to Highland Ave. (traffic light and Cornell’s Hardware on left).  Left onto Highland.  Go 2 stop signs.  Cabin is on your left as you start going downhill.  OR:  Take California Rd to Highland Ave. (across from Twin Lakes).  Make right onto Highland Ave.  Cabin is first right.

We need adult volunteers to help form troops.  If you are interested in becoming a co-leader or have any questions, please contact us by emailing recruitment@tegirlscouts.org.

Volunteers are always needed as well so Parents of former Scouts or those who think they can add to the Scouting program should inquire as well.
