Going Pink in Tuckahoe

Parents, kids and even the staff at Main Street Pediatric Dentistry in Tuckahoe took part in Breast Cancer Awareness by putting pink extensions in their hair while raising money for a good cause.

The patients that come to Main Street Pediatric Dentistry in Tuckahoe know that Dr. Penny Resnick-Graulich and her staff are constantly finding ways to be more than just a dentist office to their patients, whether it's with magic shows in the waiting room or the many other events that take place year round.

This week, Dominique Renzi of Theory Hair Designs in Yonkers stopped by the office to give pink hair extensions to both patients and even Dr. Penny herself, all in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and for every extention put in, the office will be donating $10 to breast cancer research.

"Last year we only did this as a staff," stated Lynda Lederer-Natale who is the office manager at Main St., "we then felt like this would be something nice to offer our patients and obviously helps a good cause in the process."

Between Tuesday and Thursday, the office had seen over 65 people sit in Renzi's chair, which totals over $650 that will be raised from the Going Pink event.

"Kids love it and we see them come in all year round whether it's pink extensions for Breast Cancer or another color in support of other forms of awareness," said Renzi.
