Mathnasium Trimathlon Comes to Our Area

Students from all over Westchester will be descending on Scarsdale for the Mathnasium Trimathlon Contest. This is the third year of the event, where students test their math skills while raising funds for our local schools.

The contest will take place at Scarsdale's Mathnasium, which is located at 747 White Plains Road, on October 19. The competition is for students who are in grades 2-5. Registration for the event started yesterday, and it's free to take part in the competition.

Students can win trophies and money for their schools with every question that they answer correctly.

“The Mathnasium TriMathlon represents a wonderful opportunity for kids to have fun, test their math skills, and earn money for local schools. It demonstrates that math can be fun, and at the same time provides a way for the students to give back to their community, which is a wonderful lesson for kids at this age.” said Shane Bland, center director of Scarsdale's Mathnasium.

Students don't have to be enrolled in a Mathnasium center to participate. Preparation materials for the competition are available on the Mathnasium TriMathlon website.
