This Friday evening Oct. 5, Professor Sungrai Sohn, violinist, Dr. Chungsun Kim, cellist, and Dr. Tammy Lum, pianist, will be performing at 7 p.m. at the Bronxville Public Library.
Since the group’s inception in the early nineties, they have performed a wide range of repertoire from Western and Asian music literature.
The group has performed with the Sarah Lawrence Chamber Orchestra and the Beethoven Festival in New York, the Sarah Lawrence College Concert Series, the St. Paul’s Festival, the Carnegie Room Series, the Nyack College Concert Series and in many young people’s concerts.
In 2004, The Amasi Trio recorded the “Trio Parables” and “Violinist in the Mall” by composer William Vollinger. As the resident trio of the Nyack College School of Music, all the members are teaching faculty in piano, strings, chamber music and String Orchestra.
Hosted by the Friends of the Bronxville Public Library, this latest event in their ongoing music series will be held in the Yeager Community Room at the library and is open to the public. Admission is free and a reception is to follow the performance.
