Nancy Cheadle Reception Still On for Sunday in Bronxville

Despite the loss of power at the Bronxville Women's Club, the reception will go on as planned on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

With many residents still without power, perhaps making plans this weekend to visit the Bronxville Women's Club can ease some of the cabin fever effects that Hurricane Sandy has left upon residents of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe.

The Bronxville Women's Club, located at 135 Midland Avenue, cordially invites the public to view the works of artist/illustrator Nancy Duncan Cheadle.

Cheadle, a member of the Bronxville Women's Club, died this past June, and this exhibit will be a memorial to her talents.

Despite losing power, the club says that they will take advantage of the sunlight that shines into the club's gallery and the reception in Cheadle's honor will take place as planned on Sunday Nov. 4 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

"The club came out ok, except for lack of electricity but the exhibit is up and residents are really going to love it," stated club member Joyce Balint.

This event is free of charge and the public is encouraged to attend.
