Bronxville Native Nominated for Two Emmys

Bronxville's own Nathan Barr could snatch up some hardware during the 2013 Emmy Awards, which will be held on September 15 in Los Angeles. The 1991 Bronxville High grad is nominated in the film composer category.

Barr, who has already gained notoriety for his music for the series "True Blood," is now up for awards for his compositions for two new series, "The Americans" and "Hemlock Grove." Barr has been in California since 1996, after graduating from Syracuse.

The Bronxville native already has quite a resume under his belt, producing music for more than three dozen TV shows and motion pictures. In the future, he will continue to compose music for the HBO series "True Blood." He will also continue to write music for the Amazon original series "Tumbleaf."
