Various music events in our area and even around Westchester have showcased over the years the young talent that the County possesses and now, a High School student from Bronxville will be taking her talents to Europe and showcasing herself in a Country Music Festival this February.
School of the Holy Child Junior Ali Isabella of Bronxville is gearing up to make her global performance debut on Feb. 26 at the International Festival of Country Music at Wembley Arena in London, England.
Reba McEntire—one of the biggest selling female artists of all time—will headline the London leg of the festival, which showcases country, roots and bluegrass music.
“This is a dream come true,” said Isabella, “I am so grateful for this chance and thrilled to meet the wonderful artists who will be performing.”
Ricky Skaggs will also perform at the show, as well as other country artists such as Lonestar and Charley Pride.
"Ali is a tremendous talent,” said Kim Calhoun, director of the arts at Holy Child.
"I am so impressed by the dedication and warmth she brings to everything she does. I hope Ali enjoys every moment of her success—she has certainly earned it. The Holy Child community is so proud of you, Ali and behind you every step of the way," she continued.
Her first album will be released to coincide with her Feb. 26 performance. Recorded in New York and Nashville, the album features an eclectic mix of songs written by Isabella herself and with collaborators from New York, Nashville, London and Bristol, England.
