Where to Celebrate New Year's

Here's a look at places where Tuckahoe, Eastchester and Bronxville residents can go to bring in the new year.

Not everyone wants to stay home to bring in the new year. For those of you who want to get out, we have a number of restaurants and events taking place that you may be interested in.

If you don't want to stay up untill midnight, you can enjoy the Bronxville Women's Club's New Year's Eve Chinese Luncheon. While there, you can enjoy a Chinese food buffet from Oriental Palace, while watching celebrations from Japan, Australia and other countries on the big screen as they ring in 2013. The price is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. For more information call 914-337-3252.

Up the road in White Plains, 42 The Restaurant will be holding an event, which begins at 8 p.m. For those who don't know, the restaurant is set high atop the Ritz-Carlton in downtown White Plains. Dinner includes a cocktail reception, three-course dinner, Viennese dessert table, open bar and champagne toast set in their SkyLounge. The Celebration Party will ring in the New Year with two popular DJs, an open bar, appetizer stations and champagne toast on the main restaurant floor. The cost is $185. Down the road at Butterfield 8, their party begins at 9 p.m. They have an open bar, followed by a dinner buffet. The dinner is followed by the big ball drop. Butterfield 8's celebration doesn't end there though. They're going to serve up your very first breakfast of 2013, beginning at 2 a.m. Tickets are $100. For more information call 914-358-4881.

You can head across the river for a family-friendly event at Dave & Buster's in the Palisades Center Mall. The package includes a $20 game card, buffet, champagne toast at midnight, late night dessert buffet and a live DJ. The cost is $99.99 for adults, $69.99 for teens and $40 for children. Another family-friendly event, that starts much earlier, is at New Roc City. Their event comes to a climax at the stroke of noon. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. There will be music, trivia and games. The event, designed to mimic the Times Square countdown, will include a balloon drop from all three levels of the atrium at noon. For more information call 914-637-7575.
