Now that the weekend is upon us, here are a few family fun events happening in and around our area this weekend:
- View the first-place winners' artworks of over twenty-five artists from the regional Beaux Arts Exhibits of clubs from the Westchester County Federation of Women's Clubs. The cost is FREE and takes place on Friday July 20 at 9 a.m. and for more info, you can visit bronxvillewomensclub.org.
- Take out a kayak or choose a canoe ride at Beczak's free family fun day! Join our Catch of the Day Seining - wade into the Hudson River and see what you catch! Waterproof overalls for all sizes provided. Vistors to Summerfest will be able to participate in the Great Hudson River Fish Count, a snapshot of fish distribution in the Hudson River estuary. This event takes place on Saturday July 21 from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. at 35 Alexander St, in Yonkers. For more info visit beczak.org.
Paws for Tales - Bronxville Library
- Reading with Therapy Dogs. Practice your reading skills by reading a story to a furry canine friend! This program is open to independent readers, ages 7 & up. Advance registration required. All dogs are certified by Therapy Dogs International. This event takes place on Saturday July 21 from 11 a.m. - noon. Visit bxvlibrary.org for more info.
