Tuckahoe Kicks Off the Holidays

People in the Village of Tuckahoe got into the holiday spirit with the annual tree lighting.

There was plenty of oohing and aahing as the Village of Tuckahoe's Holiday Tree was lit. The brilliant lights got the crowd into the holiday spirit during the Saturday evening event.

The tree lighting is part of the village's annual Winterfest, which is held at Depot Square. Those who attended listened to holiday music while ice skating in the square.

Today, there will be more holiday fun on the square. From noon until 5 p.m. the kids can ice skate and get their picture taken with Santa. There will also be live reindeer and hayrides.
