NYPD's Chief to Speak in Bronxville

New York's Finest's top cop will travel to Bronxville for a special talk on international security on October 2 at 7 p.m. Kelly, who has served under Mayors Bloomberg and Dinkins, will be giving his lecture at Concordia College.

“Concordia is looking forward to hosting Commissioner Kelly — an accomplished leader in the field of national and international security, global intelligence and counterterrorism,” said Concordia President Viji George. “His expertise is recognized around the world.”

The talk will be held at the college's Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts. The event is part of Concordia's Jacobson Lecture Series. The college says the lecture series is named after former Provost and Professor of Philosophy David Jacobson, "who had a keen interest in world ideologies, religions, history, and politics. The series is a tribute to his profound legacy as a teacher, scholar, minister and community activist," according to the college.
