The following release is from Lawrence Hospital Center concerning its second annual Bariatric Surgery Patient Reunion, scheduled for Thursday at the Bronxville Field Club:

Bariatric surgery is an operation on the stomach and/or intestines which helps obese patients lose weight.  The event is a chance meet up with former patients to celebrate their newfound health and discover how weight loss surgery at Lawrence has given them a new lease on life.

At the celebration, former Lawrence bariatric surgery patients will reconnect with surgeons, dietitians, operating room nurses and other staff. The annual gathering will also feature music, dinner and dancing.

Lawrence's Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery offers a full range of weight loss surgeries, including laparoscopic gastric banding, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic gastric bypass.  Lawrence's network of care stays with its patients for life, helping them through challenges and celebrating triumphs.
