Eastchester Santa Stop

The Eastchester Tuckahoe Chamber of Commerce, along with the Recreation Department of the Town of Eastchester, held their 4th Annual Santa Stop.

Thanks to Judy Fix for submitting the following:

On Saturday, December 8th, the Eastchester Tuckahoe Chamber of Commerce along with the Recreation Department of the Town of Eastchester held their 4th Annual Santa Stop. Due to the inclement weather, the event was held inside at Town Hall.

The weather didn’t seem to bother one special guest – Santa!  Santa come and spend the afternoon talking to many local children and posed for pictures.   The pictures were taken by Lifetime Events by Jacqueline.  Staff from the Town of Eastchester Recreation Department managed a craft table where children could make picture frames to hold their photos.  Hot chocolate was donated and served to everyone by the Eastchester Odyssey Restaurant.  To see the pictures from this event, please go to www.eastchestertuckahoechamberofcommerce.org or the Chamber’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/cetcoc?fref=ts) or contact the Chamber co-president Jacqueline Vazquez at lebjv@aol.com.

Each family went home with a Chamber of Commerce tote bag filled with goodies and coupons promoting many local businesses.  The Chamber hopes that many residents will “Shop Local, Dine Local” this holiday season.

Specials thanks to Sally Veltidi of the Recreation Department and the Santa Stop Committee – Mary Jane Bernardini, Margaret Colavita, Kathy Muscat and Nicole Pushkal.  Thanks to the Town of Eastchester for opening up Town Hall for the Chamber.  The event is normally held at Gazebo Park across the street but due to damage incurred during Hurricane Sandy, the event had to be moved.
