If you were planning on attending the annual Eastchester Columbus Day Parade on Sunday, you can blame the rain for the parade's cancellation.
The Eastchester Columbus Day Committee made the announcement at about 3 p.m. on Saturday and added that there will be no re-scheduling of the parade for Monday either.
The fireworks display by Grucci has also been re-scheduled and extended hours have been added to the holiday carnival as follows:
- Sunday Oct. 7: 1 p.m. - 11 p.m. with wristband hours from 1 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Monday Oct. 8: Fireworks will begin at 7:30 p.m. Carnival and Food Court will be open from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. and wristbands will be offered from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
