Update 8:23 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014: Bronxville received 12.7 inches of snow Tuesday and early Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Original story: Temperatures will remain cold Wednesday as frigid winds return to Bronxville and the rest of Westchester County, according to AccuWeather.com.
Highs today will only reach the teens, and lows will be in the single digits and come close to zero.
“In the wake of the snow, the door will open for cold air to settle across the entire East for midweek,” AccuWeather.com wrote on its website. “Highs on Wednesday will be held 10 to 20 degrees below normal, even down to Miami.”
Tuesday night, the Tuckahoe and Eastchester school districts announced two-hour delayed openings on Wednesday due to the inclement weather. Additionally, Bronxville delayed opening schools until 10 a.m., according to officials.
