Making the decision years ago to improve not only his own health but the health of his fellow firemen, Rip Esselstyn and his firehouse committed to a plant-based diet composed of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds.
Now the fireman turned author has written a book titled Engine 2 Diet chronicling his experience and the profound effects the diet has had on his health and the health of the entire firehouse.
On Friday Oct. 5, Esselstyn will be appearing at Whole Foods Market in the Ridge Hill Shopping Center for a meet and greet event where people will be treated to a complimentary lunch, a Q & A session with the author and can get their copy of his book autographed.
You can register for this event by stopping by the customer service counter at Whole Foods or by calling 914-378-8090.
