Women's Health Dance Event Held in Westchester

Lawrence Hospital Center's Spirit of Women program held its second annual Day of Dance celebration at Westchester Manor in Hastings-on-Hudson. Women and men got their dance on by taking part in  dance aerobics, yoga and line dancing. Guests also had the opportunity to hear a cardiologist talk about ways to prevent heart disease. Plus, they could participate in free health screenings. In between all the activities at the February 6th event, people enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, a buffet dinner, drinks and dessert.

The Spirit of Women initiative  encourages women to make their health a priority and create positive changes in their lives by focusing on their total well-being, mind, body and spirit. The next Spirit of Women event is a monthly health series called  “Dinner with the Doctor,” which gives people a chance to meet with Lawrence physicians, and to learn about health issues. On February 20th,  Thomas Camisa, MD will focus on women and heart disease, and how to reduce your risk. Dr. Camisa is a board-certified cardiologist at Lawrence Medical Associates.

A light dinner will be served at the event, which will run from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m at Lawrence Hospital Center. To register for this free program click here.
