“Travel in Time” this Summer at The Chapel School Care Bear Camp
This summer, the theme for The Chapel School’s CARE BEAR Camp will be “Traveling in Time”. Children will learn about the earth’s history; studying dinosaurs that lived in Prehistoric Times and Ice Age mammals. Through age appropriate literature and craft projects students will also learn about ancient civilizations that built amazing structures like the Pyramids, the Coliseum, and the Parthenon. They will sail around the world as explorers during the Age of Discovery and travel in Early America as Settlers and Native Americans. The time travel adventure will end as we discover the great inventions of Modern Times.
Care Bear Camp is open to children ages two through six, and runs from June 16th until August 15th. The Care Bear Program consists of nine one week sessions. Camp goers are welcome to sign-up for one week or the entire program. Each session runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM until noon. The camp features “In-House Field Trips” that bring fun and fascinating visitors to the campus. Children will participate in hands on activities and be entertained by guest from Dinosaurs Rock, Mad Science, Greenburgh Nature Center, and the Animal Embassy. Magicians and storytellers will also stop by to teach and entertain.
The Chapel School is located at 172 White Plains Road in Bronxville, New York. For more information about The Chapel School Summer Programs, please call 914-337-3202 x1030 or visit the website at www.thechapelschool.org.
