The Chapel School Choir Sing at Wartburg

On Friday May 16th The Chapel School Choir sang for local seniors at The Wartburg Adult Care Community in Mount Vernon, NY. The Wartburg offers integrated, comprehensive senior care services. They provide a wide range of services to both residents and people in their own homes. The choir, led by Chapel School music teacher Mr. George Heath, delighted the audience with their performance. They sang seven songs including, “Siya Hambe”, “Christ is with Me,” and “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.”  The audience greatly enjoyed hearing the children sing.  “We are so happy they were able to bring a little bit of sunshine on this gray and dreary day,” commented one listener.

The Chapel School Choir consists of students in grades 3-8 at The Chapel School. Admittance into the choir is by audition. The choir has an intense performance schedule throughout the year. Venues have included Village Lutheran Church and The Chapel School, Concordia College - New York, Relay for Life, Celebrity Chef Cook-off at Trotter's in White Plains, Shea Stadium, Citi-field, and the Bronxville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. “The Chapel School is a wonderful institution filled with people who are passionate about their work and the development of children,” stated a parent.  Those interested in hearing a live performance can hear the choir perform live at the Bronxville Memorial Day parade.

The Chapel School is located on 172 White Plains Road in Bronxville, New York.  For more information about the Chapel School and its programs, please call 914-337-3202 or visit the website at www.thechapelschool.org
