The Chapel School Award for Distinguished Service Announced
Bronxville, NY- Local School Secretary, Mrs. Maura Condolff, was chosen to receive The Chapel School’s Award for Distinguished Service. She was honored on Sunday March 2, 2014 during a service on Lutheran Schools Sunday. Rev. Dr. Robert Hartwell, Senior Pastor of the Village Lutheran Church and school commented that “Maura is a wonderful example of our team of faculty, staff and lay leaders that make our community outreach ministry so very special. She has a committed and caring attitude that inspires everyone she meets.”
Mrs. Condolff was recognized for her tireless service to The Chapel School. She is a nurturing and caring individual, who is always willing to help. She models being a team player and is a welcoming first contact to The Chapel School. Principal Jim Dhyne quoted the Dalai Lama “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” Dhyne went on to say those of us who know Maura, know that is something she would say and that is how she lives her life. “Parents, students and faculty and staff have the utmost respect for Maura and treasure her role in the VLC & The Chapel School ministry.”

The school’s prep choir sang, as many families, faculty, and staff attended the service.
The service kicked off a week of “Team” related activities in honor of Lutheran Schools Week at The Chapel School. During the week, students participated in spirit games, strengthened friendships, and even had a pajama day where they were treated to a pancake breakfast. “It was a really fun week,” commented one student. “I loved seeing the teachers competing in the games and wearing their robes,” said one giggling student.
