JANSEN HOSPICE ANNUAL PADDLE TOURNAMENT CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND
What a perfect weekend for "The Jansen," as it has come to be known.
This very successful mixed paddle tournament benefits Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care exclusively and has raised over $200,000 over the past sixteen years. Players not only enjoy the spirit of paddle, but they also support the Jansen mission of providing dignity and comfort to hundreds of families in the community.
Play began early on Saturday morning, January 25, with 48 teams playing at the Bronxville Village Paddle Courts, the Bronxville Field Club, Siwanoy Country Club, Scarsdale Golf Club, and Fox Meadow Club.

Lunch on Saturday and Sunday, cocktails, dinner, and a highly successful silent auction (with donations from local merchants and friends), along with music and prizes, were enjoyed by all. The weekend culminated on Sunday with breakfast and lunch and very exciting semifinal and final matches. In addition to the support and enthusiasm from all of the players, numerous local sponsors donated their time, goods, and financial support.
Congratulations to all of the winners, including Carrie Rabuse and Gustavo Goncalves (Main Draw Winners), Christina Wein and Terry Doran (Finalists), Susan and Ben Durfee (Consolation Winners), and Lori and John Walzer (Finalists).
