ATTENTION STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS: INSPIRING STORIES FROM LEADERS WHO ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO REDUCE OUR FOOTPRINT
Can America break its throw-it-all-away habit? Can we reduce the vast amounts of waste going into our landfills? Are there ways to build a less wasteful, more sustainable society?
Learn the answer to all these questions and more during a special two-hour presentation on “Reducing Our Impact While Making an Impact” on Wednesday, March 12, at Scarsdale High School (the event co-sponsor), starting at 6:30 p.m. Five panelists - including Westchester County Legislator Catherine Parker - who are making a real difference in sustainable design, urban planning, legislation and advocacy will discuss how Americans can re-use, reduce and recycle their way to a healthier, cleaner environment.
